Question:How long can i keep food in my freezer for without it defrosting (Obviously i'm not going to open the freezer door)
Answers:
Most modern freezers are good enough to keep food safe for about 18 - 24 hours. As long as you don't open the door.
um keep it in there for about 3-4 hours, then take it out
i have been told it will be OK for 24 hours if the doors are not opened after that am not sure sorry
Usually OK for at least 12 hours. So you have a bit of time yet. If you lose food I think you have a case for compensation.
How are you using your PC if you dont have power!
Approx 24 hours before it all defrosts and becomes completely unusable. The best thing to do with the raw meat in such a situation is to cook it then freeze it. It cannot be refrozen in the raw state, but can be refrozen once cooked.
Anything else will have to be written off.
wrap all of your food in a blanket then put back into the freezer.
Go and get some bags of ice and drop into your freezer, remove after power is back on. You should be good for at least 24 hours if not longer, if the food thaws and still is cold and iced it is OK to refreeze. The ice should hold you over for 48 hours or longer.
24 hours don't open door of freezer or fridge if connected.
If beyond 24 hours check your household policy.
Computers can work without MAINS ELECTRIC like this one now., I work off car batteries and an inverter, never crashes.
