How do you fix a squeeky door?

Question:

Answers:
If it's the hinges, use almost anything. WD40 will work but it smells up the room for a while. Cooking oil works. Pam cooking spray. Even soap.
If the door squeaks only when closed, it is probably rubbing against the door jamb. Then it will need sanding or maybe adjust the hinges a little.

Spray the hinges with WD-40
WD-40 spray the hinges.
Machine oil on the hinge. Make sure to pop the door up a good inch to the lube gets on the pin.
Buy an oily door mouse or spray with some 3in1 oil
Use WD40 on the hinges. If you don't have any, any oil will do.
WD-40
Oh, drop just a little bit of olive oil at the hinges; that will do the trick!
short term fix - WD-40 or any other multi-use lubricant

Long term - take the door off the hinges, clean thoroughly with lubricant, re-install.

More than likely what is causing the squeaking is one of the hinges are very lightly rubbing together metal to metal.
Vaseline if you have any..or any oil substance.
Get some WD40 and spray the hinges.
if you dont have machine oil, use cooking oil or margerine.
peanut butter or lard on the hinges.
