Question:can you put chlorine tablets in the toilet tank ..i have a septic tank and i have 3" chlorine tablets that i use for the swimming pool ...and wonder to keep the toilet spotless can i use em

Answers:
NO!!

Chlorine kills most bacteria. I do not suggest you use any chlorine at all but stick to natural products.
We also have a septic system and I don't think I'd try it.
the other poster is right chlorine kills Bactria that is needed to break down the waste. as well as soap kills it also when i build my other home I will put in different tanks one just for the toilets and one just for the gray water like washer, sink, etc etc
The chlorine tablets will kill the helpful bacteria in your septic system. It is recommended by most septic system makers that no chlorine (bleach etc.) be used. Also swimming pool chlorine can react with the chlorinator which you may have after your septic tank. Some systems use a different type of chlorine to kill the bacteria after it goes through your septic tank. The two types can create a dangerous gas when mixed.
