Toilet flush but weak?
Question:My house toilet flushes but water pressure seems weak, how can i fix this.
Answers:
First of all, NEVER put drain cleaner in your toilet. That said, your fill valve or ballcock have nothing to do with water flow to the bowl, they simply fill the tank. But check to see if they are filling the tank to fill line (1 inch below overflow tube). If not, adjust it. Is the tank the right match for the bowl? A three gallon tank on a 1.6 gallon bowl will not have the same effect as if there were a 1.6 gallon tank. Lastly, Check flapper chain length. Make sure it pulls flapper to right height.
Use something like drano for your toilet to unclog the toilet.
have you ever heard of a yulelog??
In what way weak? The tank holds all the water you should require(4 gal). If you mean it does not push the item down...then you got a clog in the 4 " pipe. A diaper, a big wad of t.p.. a hog log..get Rotor rooter
did u check the flapper?sometimes when they get old they don't open all the way ,also check the watter level
Most toilets work by gravity, water flows from the tank to the bowl by gravity. However if the flapper is not opening wide enough the volume of water is cut down, giving you a weak flow. Most flappers have a chain on them this should be adjusted so the lenght is not to long and avoids the flapper from opening enough to drop enough water for a proper flush.
