If ur oven/stove were to catch fire.?
Question:would the explosion be huge?..like ur whole house...or just the kitchen?.ive seen it in movies a lot..but i dont think its that dramatic..is it?
Answers:
If you have a fire, you won't be likely to have an explosion.
For a stove-top fire, slide a lid over the burning object, holding the side nearest to you lower than the other side. This directs the flame away from you. Then Turn off the gas/electricity.
For an oven fire close the oven door, turn off the gas/electricity If the flame doesn't/t go out, take some baking soda, open the door and throw in a handful. Or use an extinguisher if one is handy. Do not use flour. It can explode.
i take it you are talking about a gas cook stove !
yes it could be that serious if the fumes where to build for a great time but you should smell the fumes well before that point
My stove (non gas) has caught fire a couple of times, I just put it out with a lid or whatnot and it is fine. I change the burners if it is a little bigger.
it could be depending on what is in close contact,on the stove,in the oven, etc.
