Fuse keeps tripping?
Question:I tried plugging in the plug into the outlet and it stopped. I never had problems before. I plugged the pump into another outlet and the pump started up and did not trip a fuse. What is going on? Is it just the outlet?

For about four bucks you can get a socket tester to see if there's a short circuit. It has a few lights on it to tell you if any wires are touching.
The other answerer is correct; the pump may need a 20 amp plug and you plugged it into a 15 amp plug. Try using a little lamp in the faulty plug and see if it trips again.
You may need to open up the socket and adjust the wiring to stop them from touching. That's with the power OFF of course!
The two different plugs are on two different circuits, or breakers. A 15 amp breaker or fuse will trip before a 20 amp.
If you overload a circuit by plugging too much __it in, you can start a fire.
Circuit overload or weakened breaker.
Fuses don`t trip they blow. If your breaker trips on the circuit it could be overloaded. Bad connections on the receptacle will also cause an over load and trip the breaker. If it`s a fuse make sure the contacts are good as well. If it is black in the centre then the fuse has been arcing ang can cause innsufficient current to flow and pop the fuse.
you are overloading the circuit, there may be other things hooked up to that circuit or your pump amperage is pulling to much current.
