What makes your spark plug foul out?
Question:I use the wrong gas in my lawn mower by mistake ( two cycle oil mixed with gas) but i drained all the gas out and replaced it with regular gas but my spark plug still foul outs. It runs with a mist with black smoke but runs right when the gas is about to run out. Whats wrong and how can i fix it?
Answers:
Incomplete or improper burning of the fuel. Carbon (soot) and or oil build up and decrease the efficiency of the plug.
Clean out your carburetor. Sounds like your flooding it with fuel. Needle valve may be stuck.
Also check the kinflinctor pin right beside the discombobulator valve. It can seize up on you.
My bro had a mo-ped and his spark plug always fell off. Its just because of wear and tear.
oil in the cylinder, other crap in the fuel thats not suppose to be there
I take it you have a 2 stroke engine(I am English)it sounds like the mixture is too rich...not enough air and too much petrol, there is a screw on the carburetor which alters this.
Take it in to an automechanics. Maybe they can help you. OR, call the 1800 number on the machine.
Clean the spark plug and the carb. After a tank of oil free gas it should start to run better if it is a 4 stroke engine.... If it is a 2 stroke engine you need to run 2 cycle oil in the gas.
