What could be the problem , Water is coming back up through my sink and shower , and my toilet wont flush?

Question:What could be wrong

Answers:
The sewer line is blocked. Time for the rotor rooter guy.

Are you on a septic tank or connected to a sewer line? Your septic tank might be full. Or, you have a major back-up in your sewer line.
Call a plumber.
Sounds like the sewer is clogged. Call plumber or drain cleaning co.
I had a similar problem...it was because my drains were frozen. But if you are not in Alaska or Antartica I doubt if this is your problem lol. My best guess would be that your drain is blocked. Every time you try to flush it can't get through and will come back up through the connections to your sink and shower. You should probably call a plumber or rent a tool called a 'snake' to try to clear it out. Good Luck
sounds like to me you have a septic tank problem. just call and have it drained. that should do it. it that don't work. you can go on top of your house and you will find a pipe up there from your plumbing. what this does is vent your pipe system. check to make sure its not clogged up. just make sure nothing has fallen in to it some how.
Check the "stink pipe" on top of your house. It lets in air so you have suction when your drains are used. This time of year animals like to use them for various reasons. If you don't see anything in it at the top then use a water hose and flush it out. If your drains are still completely full this will cause them to overflow so be prepared, You may be able to flush the toilet by using a full bucket of water add very fast, Depending on where you main clean out is you may be able to just open it and flush your drains from the stink pipe. Open the clean out first and please use rubber gloves.
What you mean is you toilet will flush but, won't go down. This all sounds like a plugged drain to the street. I would get "Roter-Rooter" out, they'll snake a line to the street, if it's clear then it's a city problem not yours.
call the landlard you got big problems as soon as possible
