Serious faucet problem...?
Question:help! my faucet in my new apartment spits out brown water.it doesn't smell or anything, it's just dirty and disgusting, and comes out at uneven pressure...any idea how to fix it? it's a big problem, because right now i have to spend money on bottle water which i hate to do!

Sounds. like you just have crappy water either coming from the ground or the city. Try using a PUR water filter. It attaches to the faucet and cleans your drinking water using a charcoal filter. Each filter should last you around 6 months, and they are about $15 bucks each.
The brown water "should" run itself out of the system. If I were you I'd be phoning the landlord and telling him/her about your problem. It's up to them to handle the costly repairs, not you.
uh.call your landlord and report this problem, and then follow up the same day &write your landlord a note, keep a copy for your records, send it and tell them it is unacceptable and you need someone ASAP to come and see what the problem is. Tell them you are worried from a health standpoint, and should you call the water and health departments also.
