My dishwasher dont spin while its on when its off u can reach down there and spin it it seams to spin freely?

Question:im talking about the thing that goes around in circles on the bottom and the thing comes up in the middle when the water pressure comes on it seems to wobble around when i reach down there to spin it i bought it used it has water pressure i pushed the botton in on the inside of the lid and act like it was shut and water was coming out down there like it should but the water pressure would not spin it

Answers:
Maybe a piece of plastic that catches on the nozzle to spin it. If it is broken off internally it will seem to spin by itself, but the motor part will make no contact resulting in the motor spindle spinning inside itself, and not moving the other part.

I hope that made sense.

probably a broken belt. check the underside 4 it.
Then either the engine is burnt out or the belt has broken.
This will sound pretty obvious, but is there something tall in the rack that would obstruct the arm from turning? Mine does the same thing if I have loaded something with an odd shape.
You problably have debris inside the pipe. you have to remove the end caps. and run some water through it.water pressure is what makes it turn.
