What would make a refrigerator freeze everything?
Question:It is freezing everything, milk, cheese.
Answers:
i do appliance repair first i would check your settings in the fridge they should be set exactly in the middle whether it is numbers or letters if those are set right then you have a bad cold control that is pretty easy to replace one way you can check if it is bad your frifge will be running all of the time without shutting off good luck
Control turned too low, set it warmer! ~
It is probably set at too low a temperature. Reset the controls.
Interior control set too low...check your setting and move it up some...
you should put all those items in the compartment with the BIGGER door. its usually the door under the small door.
Check the setting, make sure the coils are brushed off free of grime.
you have two control knobs. the left one is the freezer, the right is the refrigerator. Adjust the refrigerator about three settings warmer to begin with.
Refrigerators are able to reach slightly below zero centigrade temperatures if the the temperature setting is too low. Increase the setting a little, there should be a dial inside the fridge for this purpose if it's a low tech fridge, but these dials often don't show temperature, just level. You can use a weather thermometer to gauge how cold it is in there. Play around with it a little and have it set for 4 degrees centigrade, the best temperature to keep food at. If it's a high tech fridge then use the digital panel to set the temperature.
On many refrigerators there is a damper door that allows cold air from the freezer into the fridge compartment. Sometimes it is merely stuck and others the control unit or damping mechanism is shot.
Try to locate this door/flap and check for proper operation...it's probably wide open.
A make and model would be helpful in diagnosing further.
