How do you clear up a cloudy swimming pool.?
Question:
Answers:
You need to use some clarifier. How much depends on the size of your pool and the filteration system you have. We have a 12 x 24 x 4 ft pool and use an ounce of clarifier for cloudy issues. using baking soda can help, it also raises the ph level of your pool water.
Also, why call a professional when this is something that is easily handled without the expense of calling them in?
try baking soda. Go to the dollar store and get it there. Don't know how big your pool is- however we have 26,000 gals. of water and I used 15 lbs. Just dump it in from the box. you will be amased!
You call a pool service and let the professionals handle it.
Try testing your chlorine levels. If lt's low, shock the pool with the appropriate amount to raise to needed level. Now, keeping it clear requires more care. 1st, Use a solar blanket when the pool is not in use. This keeps the cholrine levels in your pool form being evaporated from the sun. Also, keep chlorine tabs in your skimmers as this will help to maintain the level of chlorine necessary. Continually check your ph levels to ensure that by shocking you havn't knocked those out of balance. Finally, use a stabilizer. This helps to keep the chlorine levels fairly regular and adds some additional protection from the sun's rays and possible evaporation. Good Luck and I hope this helps!
Have the water checked at a pool store and see what might be wrong. You might have white alge and need to scrub and vacuum it. If you have had a lot of rain, you need to shock it and filter it for 24 hrs. You must keep the chemical levels maintained or you will have a roller coaster ride trying to keep up with it. I suggest Baquacil instead of Chlorine. It is 100 times better and easier to maintain.

If you don't like the soda idea, go to Walmart and buy some chemical.
sodium bicarbinate(baking soda) should be added at the first of the season to maintain a proper alklinity level, buy it from a bulk store, also buy a decent test kit i recommend a taylorkit 60 bucks,
You need clarifier, it can be found at pool supply places or walmart etc. Read the lable and it will tell you how much to use according to your pool size (gallons) if you don't know the size you can measure the length and width or diameter, depth and a pool shop will tell you how many gallons you have
