Question:It is an single turn valve. I know it must just pop off. But I don't want to break it. Any help would be great. Thank you

Answers:
As has already been mentioned, hot water tank. if gas ; it is just a matter of turning up slightly( at first) and then testing later. if its electric; you have to take off both upper and lower thermostat covers. ( power off ) and with a small bladed screw driver turn up each stat, a bit.

you probally dont have to change the knob but at the hot water heater up the temp
You don't take the knob off. You adjust the temperature on your water heater thermostat. There should be a knob or dial on that and you just turn it up.
It's not the valve, it's probably your hot water heater. Try runnign your sink on hot - does it get as hot as you want your shower? If not then you need a new hot water heater.
you don;t make water HOTTER at the knob, you have to adjust the temperature on your Hot Water HEATER itself...
if its a new shower mixer, and your happy with the hot water everywhere else in your house, all the answers so far are wrong! lols
depends on the make of shower mixer you have, to take the control of, sometimes youll find a small hole that houses a grub screw, sometimes the centre piece can unscrew, and under that another screw,, sometimes you may have to unscrew the handle.
if its an old shower mixer and the temperature has just started playing up,, then you have to change the shower cartridge.
good luck
