How do I repair my grass trimmer? I saw fumes comming out of it. I don't know what to do?

I would start by cleaning the air filter, they can get some gas/oil mix blown back into them and drip onto the exhaust causing this problem. Also make sure the gas/oil mix is the right ratio, to much oil in the mix will also cause your problem. Good luck.

It could be just oil spilled and burning off the hot part of the engine. If it will start, don't worry about it. If it is electric the motor over heated. It will be cheaper to buy another one.
You need to provide more details about where exactly the fumes seemed to be coming from ans what color they were.
