I have a Rheem Ac it starts but then stop and spells like something is burning in th unit,..?
Question:Unit is clean completely. no buoldup at all. Was working stepped out set at 78 . came back lowering the temperature and then smell a burn

sounds like your blower motor is going out runs for a while gets hot goes off on overload and you smell the windings
You definitely have an electrical problem. It most likely is your blower but it can be a number of tings so get a reputable A/C tech to come out. Try to find one with free estimates.
