Why are 2 of my rooms still warm?

Question:my a/c works great and 2 rooms stay cold while the unit runs, my other 2 rooms seem like they stay warm even though i can feel air coming from the vents. could too much insulation around the vent pipe cause the air to warm up?

Answers:
Check to see if you have dampers in the duct work, If the rooms are on separate levels then you probably do. You may need to open them up some. Dampers are usually set to about 1/4 for the upstairs in the winter because heat will rise from the lower level. You will need to open these up to about 3/4 in the summer time to allow more air upstairs. Even if all the rooms are on the same level you probably still have dampers splitting the house into two zones.

No, are these rooms on the south or west? could be the heat load is greater than the cooling from the A/C.
It would be the lack of insulation on the ducts that would cause the air to heat up.
