We have no had hot water for a week. Management knows but the owners so far have not done anything. Ideas?

Question:Who can I contact to resolve this issue or can they be reported.

Answers:
If you have kids, you can report it to the health department. Also, look into your Landlord Tenant laws for your state. I would start first by writing a letter, sending it to the management company, certified. Tell them the water heater is broke, and give them 7 days to respond. Let them know that after the 7 days, you will pay to have the water heater replaced by a licensed/bonded plumber, the cost of which will be deducted from your next rent payment. Gaurantee they will be out to fix it.

just call a plumber and bill it to the apartment building
If you do not have the money to front the cost of getting it fixed. I would first check the pilot on the water heater, second call the local building inspector. It is against code to not have hot water in any rental property. The inspector will address with the landlord and make them fix it ASAP or be fined.
Try the local Housing Authority, or the Building Inspection Dept.
