What sounds does your home make?
Question:Not you or your family, but your home.
Mine hisses, whirs, creakes and splashes.
Quite sure I heard it pass wind once to.
Answers:
I need my plumbing seen to as my pipes are all rusty.
uummm the fridge refilling the ice machine... washer and dryer, uummm doors shutting because of the airconditioner sucking the air so the door shuts if it is almost closed.
Mostly creaks and squeaks, but definitely hissing and whiring sounds in the basement.
Boiler makes irritating humming, stairs & doors creek.

My home makes quite interesting noises but ones I am really content with. I live in a grade 1 converted hay loft.
It's open planned and my master bedroom was the groom's original bedroom.
Because the whole area has beautiful exposed oak beams when it is warm they expand and then contract so I am used to the sound of wood.
My freezer appears to have a personality of it's own, it hums and gurgles to itself.
I like the noises my home makes.
My walls and ceillings make popping noises. It seems to be weather related. When there are lots of fluffy clouds in the spring the noise is more frequent.
my home sounds quiet no noise open the door to enter and i feel i`ve arrived .warm comforting and pleasant.
the bedroom floor boards make clicking noises and every now and then i hear a noise as if someone has jumped off a bed in the back bedroom even though there is no one there! I'm very comfortable in my home though i feel as if its my safe little haven.
It could well include water pipes expanding while they are heating or cooling, a 1 meter pipe will expand around 1 CM when heated to around 65 degrees, the installer may well not have allowed for the expansion and this will caused it to knock and creak in the fittings
