Cheapest Way Out Buy A New Tank Easy
U could fix it with some epoxy putty but youd b better off gettin a new or used tank
check an auto supply store. They have compound for steel tanks. It may work on plastic.
Maybe you could give us a clue on what kind of leak.
If there is a hole you can probably repair it with a screw and a gasket. I've done that several times. You can do that on a garden tractor tire to if you don't have a plug kit.
If it is a hole from rubbing on something like that I would get a new tank and be done with it.
Once you figure the cost of a repair kit if there is such a thing for a plastic gas tank and if you put any value to your time it might come out cheaper to replace it.
Find who works on those kind of mowers locally and see if they have any hulk mowers you could get parts from...cheap and fun too!
Take the tank off, and drill holds at the ends of the crack to prevent it from spreading, then use jbweld to repair it, please do keep a eye on it. I myself would prefer buying a new tank.
for a temporary repair you can use a bar of soap. Find the leak and wet the soap and rub soap across crack or hole in tank
jb weld my boy, jb weld. it works.
