Pulling up basement carpet. But what about the glue?

Question:Due to mold, we're removing our basement carpet. Under the carpet is a thick layer of glue. I'd like to get rid of the glue, and just paint the floor. But how do we get rid of all that glue?

Answers:
You can Use a Scraper to get the big stuff up then to get the hard to get stuff I would use a floor buffer with a sanding pad this will prep your floor so its nice and smooth for painting.

Ewwww, I done that job before. the glue has to be scraped off and the best tool for the job is a 6" razor scraper. I think you should be able to get one at the rental yard, get some extra blades. good luck
Put old towels on the floor and wet them real well. Let them soak for a few hours to soften the glue. Use a scrapper to scrap up the glue.
