Delta kitchen faucet drips?

Question:I am aware these area washles but mine does drip Do I have to buy an entirely new faucet or is there someway I can fix it. It is fine under the sink and every where else, I really don't need a new one...I just want this to stop dripping.

Answers:
this all depends on whether it is two handle or single handle..listen up cuz this is the proper way!! lol

Single handle.take the handle off...if its an acrylic (plastic looking) then its a phillips head screw.there's a metal ring that is holding a stainless steel ball in the faucet body. That ring turns counter clockwise to come off. When it comes off pull on the ball and a couple pieces will come out. Look inside the faucet and there are two seats (rubber cups) and two springs. Pull those out. Go to a hardware store and get a Delta RP 3614 kit. Also get a new stainless steel ball but take the old one with you because there are two different types. Insert all the pieces as they came out and replace the metal ring.

Two handle.take off the handles...there's a stem held in by a nut. Unscrew that nut and pull the stem. Study the stem to see which way it is facing. Look at it for a minute and you'll see what I mean. The same rubber "cups" and springs are inside the body. Pull those out. Go to the hardware store and make sure you get Delta brand stems and seats and springs. Put the seats and springs back in the faucet and the stems exactly the way they came out. Screw the retaining nut back on and install handles. If for some reason your handles turn the wrong way after youre finished then remove the stems again and turn them around. Once you get into this you will understand. Good luck

Easy . There is a cartridge in the valve that is leaking. Take the faucet apart. Pull the valve stem out there is your cartridge. Go to yourlocal hardware plumbing supply get it replaced. The come out one way and go in oneway. Kind of easy. Oh if you get out a wrench or some kind of tool that will scratch the chrome remember to protect the finish with a rag or cloth. Peice of cake and good Luck
Close. But no cartridges in Delta kitchen faucets.
Delta uses rubber "seats" to stop the water. They are just a few bucks. Be sure to get Delta brand, not the knock offs, like Danco or store brand. It will be two black rubber cups and two springs.
Turn the water off under the sink. Drop a towel in the sink so no parts fall down the drain.
If it's a single handle, use an 1/8" alllen wrench to loosen the set screw on the front of the handle. Remove the handle. Unscrew the cap. If it's stubborn use a strap wrench, never a pipe wrench. Lift the ball out, and the cam and packing along with it. Down in the valve you'll see the seats and springs. Use the allen wrench to fish them out.
A key step folks forget is to flush the valve. Anytime you open up plumbing you loosen stuff that falls in, which later becomes the cause of a leak. Sometime just flushing the valve will take care of the leak and no parts are needed. To flush, have a helper put a bowl over the valve and you turn on the water supply for about 30 seconds. It's messy but worth it.
Put your new seats and springs in and reassemble. The allen wrench can help slip the seats in place also.
A two handle faucet uses the same seats but you may want to get a set of stem units also. Take the handles off then a the bonnet nuts. Pull the stem units out. A little wiggling can help. Do the same fishing and flushing as above.
Do not ever pay a plumber for this job. It takes no special talent or tools.
