Tap water has an odor when something is added to it (crystal light, pop and icecubes)? What is the cause?

Question:Ground/Well Water.
Koolaide, Crystal Light mixures make the water smell weird although the water on its own smells and tastes very good.

Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hopefully the well isn't contaminated...or the pipes...but they might be. Start by taking a sample of the water to your County Health Department to have it analyzed. In the meantime, boil your water or use a bottled water supplier. I've been through a break in the well lines once and it was horrible. The end result was that we needed to drill a new well because my dad let it go too long. That was a $7000 oops that could have been prevented by fixing the damaged pipe before the well grew nasty whatnots.
