There is this high pitched whine outside my window at night. Has anyone experienced this & know what it is?

Question:I live under a power line, but it seems like it's coming from the other direction - maybe where the electrical station is? That's the only thing I can think of, but I just wish I knew because it is incredibly annoying when I have my windows open and I'm trying to sleep!

Answers:
It could be a transformer in the area. Also high power lines can sing. Call your utility company they can check it out and quiet things down.

thank you, now I know what happened to my cats, Fluffy, Spaz and Hairball
they've been gone for weeks
Sounds to me like you have UFOs powering up for free
off of the powerlines nearby !!
The little bug-eyed snipes do this a lot !!
They sit on the technology to save us from the high gas prices and -- then -- take our power for free and then the electric company hits US for the losses !! So, they're messing us over from both directions !! No, wonder that they haven't "contacted" us up front --- they know that THEN they'd have to pay their fair share -- and they haven't got real jobs to do this !
