Can you help me locate a CFL E17 base lamp bulb?
Question:I have searched everywhere and every way, and can only find a DC version on an Australian website.
This is for a small ceiling fan that calls for an E17 size bulb base, larger than a candelabra base and smaller than the standard incandescent bulb base.
I already have an incandescent bulb. I want to replace it with a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL).
I hope to find one in the range between 3 watts and 12 watts.
Thank you for any CERTAIN, FOR SURE sources.
I have already searched every lamp bulb superstore I can find.

Go to a superstore(HD) and have them get the big book of special order bulbs. You may have a hard time finding a knowledgable person about this, but there are thousands and thousands of bulbs that they can get that they cannot stock for space reasons.
call an electrical supply store... not the big box stores go to one that only sells lighting and or electrical supplies..there al also in bigger towns some of these stores that have more options than the regular ones..they know how to find hard to find bulbs.. in atlanta we have one called. E. sam jones... if you have a bulb you cant find they can find it..ask around at some of the ones you cal lthey can give you the place to find it..
