How do i remove the toilet tank lid in order to repair it?

Look at the bottom of the lid... there are lid holders, which are connected to the bottom of the toilet itself... there's screw - unscrew - unlid - and VOILA!
If it's the old push button style, unscrew the base of the button. If not, the top should just lift off
simple,if the toilet tank isn't covered with toilet tank covers,
just pick the lid up.if you see a threaded rod and ball inside
the tank remove it and install a very inexpensive floatcup.
That chrome piece where you press to flush the toilet is actually a screw. You need to unscrew that thing inorder to lift the lid.
