Why do you need a flue with a gas fire and not a gas cooker?

Question:

Answers:
A gas fire uses a lot more gas than a gas cookstove. Also you're not likely to have the cookstove on for long enough to create a problem with carbon monoxide, unlike a fireplace, which is usually on for several hours at a time.

They now have ventless gas fireplace kits, so you no longer have to vent either one. I bought mine at Lowes. Good Luck
