How to clean double glazed glass that has dirt between the panes?


Question:sometimes diirt gets between the panes after some years. How does one open the seales to clean the glass and how does one reseal after cleaning?

Answers:
There's obviously a breach. You have lost any value that double paned windows offer. Depending on the climate, it might be worth replacing them, one by one.

This happened to me about 15 years ago. It was
a big sliding patio door. I had to take it back to the
factory, and they put a new double pane window
in. The factory was fairly local, and not a big problem for me. The replacement glass was not
cheap but not out of reach.
The dirt you see is mold caused by moisture leaking into the insulating space.
Once the seal is broken the pane is no longer insulating so you'll have to replace it.

You don't. Call a glazier that specializes in double pane manufacture and have them replaced.
