My gas waterheater makes constant noise like a jet plane taking off. It started first sounding like mooing.?

Question:It makes the noise almost all the time. It is not affected by running hot water. We have drained the tank but the noise has not stopped.

Answers:
call a plumber...if it sounds like a jet then it could be the safety valve

Ask an expert, a gas engineer to examine the heater.
Don't mind the cost, you can never be too careful with gas.
