Why won't my refrigerator cool?

Question:I have a 2 year old Maytag Refrigerator, upon returning from vacation I found my refrigerator portion will not cool but the freezer works just fine. The light comes on when you open the doors but when I try to reset the digital controls to a lower temperature it won't cool and continues to read between 77-80 degrees...what could be the problem?

Answers:
Thermostat bad, temp control also possible.

Unplug it, see if it resets.

Service call

Possibly a small gap in the rubber door seal.
Is it plugged in?
could be the timer, that is what mines doing and my timer has a bad spot in it.
One of the parts is broken i had the same problem
Could be a dirty condenser , or a bad fan or something electrical , call for service , two years old I'm sure is still warrantied...
The fan is went out. Simple to repair, doesn't cost to much, but a little. Food kept at that temp will be spoiled, and could be contaminated with e-coli etc. Call your land lord NOW, or a repair tech NOW and get this thing fixed today, then buy a cheap thermometer to keep in the fridge and keep a eye on the temp. Btw, it takes about 24 hrs to get back to the 40* req for fridges. Good luck.
could be broken
1) If your Ref is a two door, there might be a small gab on the magnetic strip on the door of the ref portion and cold air comes out.

2) The ref portion might be overloaded with so many stuff that the ref can't handle the heat transfer.

3) The Thermostat for the ref portion is already broken, that it won't give proper signal to lower the temperature.

Hope this helps
