Answers:
call the gas company NOW and don't light any matches
call your gas company pronto. they need to have a report made from you on your house so please call now.
Do you mean your gas hot water system? If it is an instantaneous gas system, you need to re-light the pilot, which probably blew out in the storm.
Go to the heater, open the little hatch and follow the instructions printed on the inside of the little door.
Good luck
Call thee a repair man. Don't mess with that.
I am assuming your pilot light has been blown out. Try relighting it. There are instructions close to it on a sticker or in your manual if you have it still. If you aren't sure how to do it call somebody. Gas is very dangerous and you shouldn't mess around if you don't know what your doing. Call your local supplier, depending on where you are they may come out and check it for you.
if you smell any gas in your house..you need to call the gas company because you might have a leck in your gas line..if you have a leck your gas might not work..the leck could of happened if somehting hit the line during the storm last night..so call the gas company and get someone to come out and check the line and check for lecks..but do not light a cig or try to use a lighter or a match..be careful ok it might be dangerous
IF you SMELL gas, leave the house and call the gas company immediately. Do NOT turn on any light switches or appliances or use the cell phone inside if you suspect the gas is filling the house.
IF you do NOT smell gas then check to see if your appliance pilot lights are off. Newer appliances have electric igniters and if your power is off, they will NOT operate and the gas will not come on to that appliance.
If your pilots are off and power is on, call the local gas company, they may have the service off in your area to do a repair.
leave the house and call the gas company NOW
