My Lawn Mower broke, it shut of puffed white smoke?

Question:I tried to restart it and the pull is so tight what could this be, if i hold down the automatic walk it will come loss and puff white smoke?

did you have oil in the engine? If not you'll need a new lawnmower. Sorry if thats too obvious but about 50% of new mowers that are returned have been ruined because nobody bothered to check the oil

White smoke from a petrol engine is unusual. If it was water cooled it might indicate a failed head gasket allowing water into the cylinder. This would lead to overheating and seizing up (you say it is tight).

However I doubt you have a water cooled engine on your mower so I am stuck for more suggestions. If the engine has gone tight you can be sure it is serious.
