Try spraying WD-40 into the locking part; WD-40 will displace moisture, so it won't rust, and lubricates metal parts well. Hope this helps
WD-40 will work! Mine were rusted shut and wouldn't open and one squirt and one where the key went and walla, it opened and works great.
wd 40 is a "quick fix"..it will disperse pretty quick..use a silicone spray lubricant..it stays with it for months

If rust does happen to develop on your sword, clean it off quickly. You can clean the rust off with any commercial metal cleaner. A good metal polish can keep your blade gleaming. You may have heard of coating your blade with WD40. This is not a good idea because WD40 contains certain ingredients that evaporate and leave your blade susceptible to rust.
For all of your locks that do not have any liquids in them, powdered graphite will keep them working very nicely. It comes in a little tube like toothpaste does. Squeeze out some of it into the keyway, work the key back and forth, and it lubricates without rust or gunk forming. As stated above, the lock must be dry.
This works well for padlocks, door locks, car locks, just about any lock mechanism. Cops have been using it on their handcuffs for decades.
Try an overnight soak in metho, petrol, kerosene etc
