My Dimplex XLN storage heater is not heating up?

Question:I turned the heater off 3 years ago when I moved into my flat as it was too expensive to run. I am now selling and was checking that it still works however no heat is coming from it. I did have my electricity meter changed two years ago to one which has a single rate rather than the tariff which is cheaper at night. Would this make a difference or could it be that I may have to reset it (I do not know how to do this)?

Answers:
if you had a dual tariff meter taken out, then you may not have a supply to the white meter heating mains board, now that you only have a single tariff meter. Get a sparky to come round and check your meter set up and fuses/.breakers. It may also be the thermal link in the heater.

It will need a service if it hasnt been used for 3 years. Having your meter changed shouldn't make any difference at all. Call your nearest Dimplex service agents and have it looked at.
