Whenever I use my shower head, water always comes out the ceiling.?
Question:I have a bathtub/shower combo. Everytime I pull up the switch to use the shower, it doesnt seem to work as well as i expect. Meaning preassure loss. Also, it has to be this that caused a leak. If I use the water filler for the bathtub, no leaking. It comes thorough my ceiling, and drips. I havent used that shower in a while, instead, I usd my parents. Any advice on how to fix it is greatly appreciated!!

if this has been happening from new, you have too much pressure for your shower system.
if this has sprung more recent it sounds as if you have somthing in your pipework blocking an important outlet or a bad connection.
check to see how many 90 degree bends you have on the outlet ,this could be causing to much force on an inlet joint.
cheers
do it yourself.
You should hire someone to fix it. Water coming through the ceiling is obviously NOT normal. Your pipes are probably rusted or damaged. If you don't hire someone to get it fixed it'll probably cost you a lot more if the pipes burst.
You have a leak in the ceiling pipes. Better get it fixed now. It doesn't just leak when the shower is on, it will be a constant leak and will seep into the walls, ceiling and floor. Then you've got major structure damage and repair.
You need to call a plumber. It sounds as if you have a pipe in the ceiling which only leaks when you switch to the shower (which may put more resistance on the water flow and therefore expand the leaking joint.)
The situation can only get worse and may do suddenly! You need a plumber NOW!
Im only 14 but i might know somthing
maybe your water is like broke
replace bad pipe. If you are handy fix it yourself, if not have it repaired. The pipe will have to be removed which means wall and or ceiling opened to get to the pipe.
Your pipes sound like they burst .. I think you should call around and get an estimate to see how much a job like this would cost . and go with the comany you feel will take care of the job.
