We sold our house but now the inspection of it says we need a new roof?

Question:how much is too much and how much can we deal with our buyers on this?

Answers:
offer the buyers a price deduct and let them get it fixed at their leisure

$2,000

this is tricky without knowing if the wood is damaged under the shingles. you may offer them the reduced price to handle it on their own but most people dont want to repair a house that they just purchased. I would replace it. It will only increase the value and make it easier to sell. good Luck
This is after the closing? Sounds fishy to me.
If you have already sold it then I wouldn't worry about it as it should have been discovered during the inspector for the buyer. If you are in the process of closing then you may work a deal to knock off the cost of replacement.
Pay nothing? Sounds good don't it? You sold the house, now it is the new home owners problem.
Imagine if the house burnt down. Would you be responsible for it?
