Hot water tank was out of order. I found that the circuit breaker show red. I switched it, still no hot water.

Question:

Answers:
When you reset a circuit breaker you must first turn the breaker all the way off, then on. Also, check the water heater and see if there is a reset button there, too.

Some hot water heaters also have a breaker on the water heater itself. It should be near the thermostat control. Be careful of any exposed wires or terminals.
Well check the breaker again if it tripped again then it may be a problem with the breaker or something in the water heater is causing it to trip the breaker. Call a electrician he can check both the water heater and the breaker box. And see if there is a reset button on the water heater. You may have to push it to get it back on. But remeber the breaker is desighned to trip when there is to great of a load on the breaker for safty reasons.
this is what i would do / turn off main breaker / wait a few minutes / turn back on / make sure all others are turned to the on position / take ur hand /and push them over /make sure / if that does not work / then the tank is shot /good luck /i am thinking / this is an electric tank
