How much does a geothermal heating/cooling system cost?

Question:Assume a 3,000 sq ft house, and I'm really just looking for the initial cost of the equipment and installation. Thanks!

Depending on what equipment you have, and how you plan on running your water loop i.e. a well, or a ground loop into a pond or lake. Realistically you are looking between 20 & 30 thousand dollars. Water furnace is the premier geo thermal equipment out there.
