Which is the best home water purifier?

Question:Should I get the one ou attach to the faucet, or the pitcher. I think the pitcher would be time comsuming. I'd like to try the faucet one, since you won't run out and have to refill it and its basically hassle free.what do you think?

Answers:
I think that brita does a good job with there water products, not to expensive and filters are not bad either... we drink alot of water and our tap water is real bad too

What you need to do is have your water tested or get the test results from your water supply agency. Then go to the library and look up the Consumer Reports issue on water treatment technologies to see which ones remove what you need removed. If all you want or need to remove is odor, activated carbon, which is the small cheap ones, will do. All are somewhat of a hassle and generally most domestic water supplies do not need to be filtered at all.
check into a system named "everpure"! it is the best!
