What is ithe best brand kitchen faucet for about $225?

Question:I want one that won't break or leak, but that isn't too expensive and has good customer service/warranty for repairs, etc. have heard pricepfister sucks, but i found one the i like the features of in that brand.

Just about all faucets are made overseas now. Elkay and Central Brass make very good faucets, but you have to go to a plumbing supply store, to find them. They are used in commercial applications, and tend to last longer than name brands. Delta has a very good warranty, as does Price Pfister. Good luck!

moan
The two best brands IMHO are Price-Pfister and Kohler. Most of the PF line is now made in China while I beleive that Kohler is still made here in the good ol' US.
just buy a cheap on i had one that had a warranty and i never returned it and it was 150 and i bought the same and bought 150 and know i bought some at marards for 10 bucks and i had it over 4 year and still work to day
I have a Moen in my kitchen, and have had it leak around the stem several times. But I just called the warrenty number, and they have sent a replacement repair kit out right away, no problem. I have a Pricepfister in my shower, and that needed a new temp. regulator, and they also replaced it right away, and they included updated parts for it, also. So I have had good luck with both brands.
Kohler or Grohe, both make a good quality faucet. Grohe is high end stuff tho and Kohler can be too but for what you are looking to spend, you should be able to get a decent faucet more or less regardless of brand name. Price Pfister, isn't one of my favorites. features, if you look around a bit almost all manufacturers have the same features, or at least you can get them. Delta, Moen, Kohler, in no particular order. Alot of companies offer lifetime warranties, check for that. It doesn't cover the finish, but will cover working parts, look for that and make sure you register it. My personal preference is Kohler, just for the record.
I like moen but for as much as you are willing to spend you probably will not end up with junk. Find one that looks sturdy and goes with your kitchen. Another consideration is water pressure. Some areas have higher than normal water pressure and only certain faucets rated for higher pressure will work. If your old faucet is not a high pressure then you should be fine.
i went with moen faucets for everything in my house. they don't make modifications to a production run of a model so that you need the serial number to get the correct repair part to fix it when or if ever it breaks. all of our fixtures are kohler, and i was told that if i bought their faucets, i should also buy the repair parts so that i would have them when the time comes. for the same reason we didn't go with pricepfister, either. in the eleven years since i put them in, the only repair was to the o ring on the kitchen faucet, and that was my fault. i whacked it good with a very large hot pot of spaghetti that i was carrying with a wet pot holder. i was halfway between the stove and the sink before i realized the pot holder was wet, and the heat from the handle was steaming my fingers. if you do go with another brand, do yourself a favor and remove the label from the box it comes in and tape it to the inside of the sink cabinet for future reference. that way you will have all of the correct numbers if and when the time comes. good luck, hope this helps.
Delta by far. The main reason is down the road when it starts to leak (they all will one day) it makes no difference weather you by a 50$ or a
250$ Delta they both take the same 10$ repair kit. So you can pick out the one you like and not worry about the quality. If its made by Delta it will last about as long as any, and repairs are cheap and easy.
Agree w/ mikesims.
Kohler is top shel so is Price Pfister.
However, bought a "Price" at a home center & it leaked they sent me a new cartrige valve , then it started to show corrosion.
Found out it is best to purchase brand names at a building supplier.
Faucets though name brand are not always up to same quality specs you get at a plumbing supply showroom.
The outlets twist the mfrs arm if they want their brands in stores & get them to produce a special line of products.
Thought it was just supply house propaganda until my son who is a tilesetter & other pros said same thing about flooring & doors sold at home centers.
Contractors don't like callbacks so they go with the factory spec stuff.
Best regards
