Will my portable Air conditioner 12000 BTU be damaged if I use it in a small room like 130 Square feet?

Question:I'm using the Amcor ALD12000E for rooms up to 400 Square feet, but right now I have it in a 130 square feet room which is pretty small... I read on some websites that it's not good for the AC.. is this true? Will my portable AC be damaged if I use it in smaller rooms?

Ditto the above answer plus an oversized air conditioner, because it doesn't run as much, doesn't do a very good job of dehumidifying the air, either. Can you open the room to a surrounding space?
