When a builder gives you a price does it include the cost of skips?

Question:Unless he says otherwise obv...

Answers:
Yes, if he has accepted a price for a job, then it goes without saying that part of any job involves cleaning up after himself.

You pay to have your bins emptied, and you wouldn't expect them to be emptied in the street, simply because the job you pay to have done includes having the rubbish taken away.

Ask your builder for a breakdown of his quote to see what your money is beinhg spent on. Or even ask him directly, but dont give him any money over what you've originally been charged, and if there is any money still to pay then refuse until the jobs done and your satisfied.

As you've been told he needs you more than you need him.

As far as i know, the price does not include the hire of a skip, unless the builder himself tells you that it does.
If you got a quote for the job it should include everything.
As you seem to be in doubt, why not ask now for an itemised quote.

.
It should be all inclusive, with job clean up. Look at the estimate. Ask him to break the cost down.
My dad recently had some work on his home and the skip was provided by the builder in the price of the work, but it wasn't specifically mentioned in the work contract.
Not usually. The easiest way to find out is to ask the builder, or get an itemised quote.
Hi,
Yes it does include a skip and you shouldn't be too scared to ask him either he needs you more than you need him.x
Should do,
yes of course it does,
Unless otherwise stated, an estimate from a builder should include all costs.
I presume that you have foolishly given a builder a contract without first obtaining a written estimate. Wait for his invoice and if he persists, complain to Trading Standards.
when you ask for a price for work to be carried out make sure you have everything in writing . found out the cost for labour the cost of materials and make sure that the rubbish is taken away after the job is finished and don't sign anything until you are happy with the contact between you and the builder.
only f it is shown on estimate ie all rubbish removed from site
When a builder gives a price for a job he should have included for everything associated with the job. Beware though of the dreaded estimate as this is where the builder can make up for his errors with additional charged. You should always go for a QUOTATION which is a fixed price and any additions can then only be charged for if you accept in writing a written quotation from the builder. The skips rental is a constant point of argument as the come and go but you are unable to keep a running check on how many.
ask the builder
You should get a written estimate and at the end of it it should state that all disturbed areas will be made good and rubbish cleared. It is up to the builder how he clears the rubbish. Sometimes they will use a skip and other times they may use their truck and take it to the local dump.
If you have a written estimate check what it says. If not ask the builder and if it is not included then you have the option of organising the skip yourself, after you get some quotes, or agreeing to a new estimate from your builder.

In my experience till the builder has your agreement he will be looking to please you. Once he has your approval then his shenanigans could begin.

Best clear the air prior to starting. (Assuming you haven't given him the OK already.

Best of luck!
Very good point ;

make sure you ask this question, when you get your quote
for the Job !

these days, disposal of builders waste can be quite pricey

however the rubble etc, has to be removed ,
at some stage
so it may be simpler , if this is done within,

the cost of the whole job,.by the builders

Hope it all looks grand when its done !!
