Do roofers need a license in the state of Texas?

Question:I'm not looking for a roofer myself. I'm just trying to help a friend of mine who ia actually asking this question.

Answers:
I checked the Texas Department of Licensing and didn't see an answer so I would guess "No", but there may be local licensing requirements, so you would also want to check with the county and city.

I don't think there is a license for roofers in Texas but you could always call your local Better Business Office and check them out.
NO, not that I am aware of. My family has been in construction for generations and I have not heard anything like that.
I look at it this way I f they are licensed that means they are insured and bonded so if they do a unsatisfactory job you have a recourse
