Craftsman/Briggs-Stratton oil leak - can you help ?

Question:Have about a 4 yr-old Craftsman rider mower. The newer
versions of the same model have a standard oil filter
attached to left side of the engine. My has a silver, dish
shaped device attached here and I have an oil leak in
this area of the engine (a serious one) -- is this the
equivalent of an oil filter ? how do I remove to repair/
or replace (can't see how it's attached)-- any/all help
would be appreciated -- THANKS

Answers:
go to sears parts and fill in your model number
from there you can get a breakdown on your mower

You can go to outdoordistributors.com and look up your engine model number. From there you can get an exploded view of the engine with part information.
