John Deere F510 Kawasaki, replaced igniter, still no spark. Its not safety switch under seat.?

Question:

Answers:
There are several possibilities with this one. There are safety switches for the PTO, neutral, seat and reverse (on later models). Any of these can be bad or unplugged. Try a jumper wire to test these but don't use this as a fix as you may be injured or open yourself up to a lawsuit if someone using your mower is injured.

Other wiring possibilities are damaged wiring or loose connectors along the harness. Mowers get pounded and wiring will break.

On early versions of this motor I think there was a little chip that worked in conjunction with the igniter. I think it was bolted on the outside of the engine cover by the dipstick. Other ignition items included the trigger coil, the igniter, secondary coil and there was a circuit board that controlled the ignition and safety switches.

Start with the simple stuff first. 90% of the time it's a bad safety switch or loose wire.
