How can I remove scratches from high gloss work surfaces?

Question:I have slight scratches on my new work tops any solutions please

Answers:
That would depend on what kind of surface it is. Wood, metal, plastic, glass, painted or stained, etc. What might work on some surfaces may make others worse.

U would probably need to strip the paint off the woodwork, then sand it down , then re apply the gloss again.
Try using Brasso or T-Cut. Use it on a small area first and rub in a circular motion. Polish off with a dry cloth and all should be good. Only works if the scratches are not too deep.
If it's a hard surface , polish it with car polish
Have you considered cutting out the damaged bit then inserting a granite block or stainless steel rollers to take the wear. If its scratched now it will get scratched again. Most re polishing shows up some way or another in different lights. Short term, use mats to cover where possible. Final drastic solution ! scratch all of the rest to match.
you could try something called "Barkeepers Friend" from Sainsbury's. Its about £1.75 and is designed specifically for certain types of worktops, not sure if high gloss laminate is one of them. I bought it after recomendation from the manufacturer of our solid surface tops
Its a fine cutting paste and works well on everything Ive tried it on but TRY A HIDDEN AREA FIRST !!
