Natural stone, soaks up water deposits and are harder to clean...depending on what kind, like the lime stone, there is very little you can do to clean it...glass tile is easier to clean but also more slippery. I work around people that build model homes, just trying to point out the advantages and disadvantages.

And I would think just the opposite,,,glass tiles would be very slippery (as is a drinking glass when it gets wet) and that natural stone would absorb the water better.
