Cooker is broken?
Question:I am wondering if anyone can help me, I will describe as best as I can!
The rubber bit on my cooker, it is on the main bit around the oven on the bit opposite the door surrounding the inside of the oven, the bit that is attached to the inside and helps the oven door close properly i think... the bottom bit of it has halfed. I noticed it yesterday popping out the bottom of the oven door as it was shut. Is there something that I can get to stick it back down with and do you think it will be ok to use.
It is only 1.5years old and I have no insurance that will cover it.. I really dont want to have to buy a new one!
I am sorry if I am not explained it correctly, not sure how to explain it!
Thanks in advance

I lived in a house with a cooker like this and no end of heat leaked out into the kitchen. As this was the only warm room in Oxford, hundreds of people used to come and visit and drink tea. Happy days!. IN fact, it's a common problem and easily fixed, but you'll need a replacement rubber thingy.
Don't mend or use it. Use this as an excuse not to cook n just order take out .
As it is only !8 months old , you can buy a replacement , the old one must have some retaining bracket holding it in place , glass plate on some models on others it slides in a groove , without it being in front of me I cannot say , but have a look at the end that is sticking out and then look at the door to see if there is somewhere it should fit.
The only option is to replace it. Should be fairly easy to install and cheap to replace.
Cooker problem?
Try this link. If your problem is the door seal, it's the bottom question!
there is a mastic we use for boiler flues,, it can withstand up to 300 degrees for short periods and 250 degrees for long periods, its called plumba flue. try sticking it with this.
From your description It sounds like the rubber seal for the door has split. this will have very little effect on your oven except it will have to work a little harder to maintaln the correct temprature. in most cases the seal is held in place with the screws holding the front facing on the oven or a separate trim specifically for holding the rubber strip.
Contact the manufacturer for a replacement unless you have someone locally who sells spares for white goods.
It is a fairly straight forward job to replace it
Replacement door seals are easily found and fitted.
Look in yellow pages for cooker spares
Actually, if its not too bad superglue works wonders
