Have low water pressure, flip switch, on main breaker panel, off & back on & pressure gets better. Why?
Question:Our water pressure problem seems to be resolved when we switch off the main switch to the well, in the breaker panel, and then switch it back on. What could be the problem and what is the fix?

I have a feeling your well switch is set at a low level (maybe on at 20 psi and off at 40 psi) when you turn the breaker off then back on you are causing switch to make by the surge of electricity, causing pump to come on and build up pressure. Would try placing a pressure gage on the pump and seeing where the switch cuts on and off. Then would set the switch to at least on at 30 psi and off at least 50 psi. Setting instructions should be inside cover of switch, if not get model no. off switch and go to website of switch maker, it should tell there how to set switch. If not go to local hardware dealer and buy new switch and install. Remember to shut all valves before removing switch and do not turn any water on in house as you may have to prime many pumps after shutting down and not having any pressure to place back in pump when trying to restart as most pumps you will have to drain tank to replace the press switch and press valve (unless they have valves on them).
These are the types of problems that need looking into, but I suppose it could be that if the well pump is on a double poll breaker, half of it may be off until you re-set it. ?
if you have a booster pump it may be failing....turning it off then back on could let it cycle 1 more time.....
Could it be low level on the well?
When you stop the pump, the well settles. When you start it again, the waves on the surface let air into the pipe.
try this--- turn off breaker, drain tank, turn breaker back on,
sounds like air in tank fluctuating pressure.
cut in switch going bad
