I saw a mouse this morning! Help me please!?

Question:I live alone in a 1st floor bedsit. At about 8am I woke up and it was light, I was laying in bed an from the corner of my eye I thought I saw something move across the floor. I looked and I saw a massive mouse run to under the kitchen unit. I stood on my bed screaming, I was petrified! I didn't know what to do. I reached to the wardrobe from my bed and quickly dressed, then called my mum. She was little help I just made her talk to me for an hour. Then I plucked up courage to transfer to standing on a chair where I got a long pole and pulled the wood bottom thing off the unit, I looked and could see nothing. I have since moved everything from the floor in the area (taking a long time doing it whilst knelt on a chair) and set two mouse traps near where I saw it. When I came home after work it took ten minutes to pluck up courage to go inside and there was nothing in the traps, and no droppings. I believe it came up through plumbing under the sink. I am terrified, I can not sleep! Help!

Massive Mouse!!

ILMAO.

Spend $2 bucks on traps. Ditto on using peanut butter as the bait as well.

You gotta catch this big fella quick. He might carry off the refrigerator!!

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do until you catch the fellow!

Good luck..and remember, you are bigger than the mouse!
It may take days to catch it with a mouse trap. Use peanut butter as your bait. That thing is more afraid of you than you are of it. You are much bigger than he is - don't worry - just take your time. make sure your food is all tightly sealed so that he cannot get into it and you will be safe.

Now you need to find how it gets in. Under the sink, is there a hole where the drain enters? In the closets or along the baseboards are there any voids or holes? If so - you should have those sealed off.

Those old fashioned mousetraps are the easiest way to solve your problem. I live in a brand new house and my garage was full of boxes - we discovered droppings - and ultimately got two mice caught in traps.

OR get a cat.
Keep your lawn mowed. Mice do not like to travel through short grass.
2Step TwoRemove wood piles, trash and debris from your home's perimeter. Elevate wood piles 18 inches above ground level. To protect yourself when cleaning out wood piles, trash or debris, be sure to wear protective clothing: long-sleeved shirts, long pants, gloves and boots.
3Step ThreeCheck all vents and repair damaged screening with 16- to 20-gauge 1/4-inch hardware cloth. Check the crawl-space doors to ensure that they fit tightly. Check where pipes enter the building. In wooden walls, place sheet-metal collars around those entrances. In stucco, stone or brick walls, use cement fill.
4Step FourFill cracks and crevices around the foundation and eaves with caulk or foam. Steel wool can be used, although it rusts.
5Step FiveRemove food sources by placing all food items, including pet food and bird seed, in tightly sealed containers. Clean up fallen bird seed. Keep trash in containers with tight-fitting lids.
6Step SixAvoid vacuuming or sweeping mouse droppings, due to the dangers of hantavirus, a deadly virus spread to humans through contact with rodents and rodent urine and droppings. Droppings should be misted with a strong household disinfectant (chlorine bleach) and wiped up with paper towels.
Trapping and Baiting
Steps
1Step OnePlace traps or poison pellets near holes and in places where you've seen mice. The trigger should be as near to the hole as possible.
2Step TwoUse fruit, candy or peanut butter as bait if your trap requires bait.
3Step ThreeCheck traps daily.
4Step FourPut on thick gloves and remove the carcass from the trap once a mouse has been caught.
5Step FiveWrap the carcass in newspaper or a plastic bag and place it in an outside garbage can.
aLSO TRY D-CON IT IS A POISON AND MOTH BALLS THEY HATE THE SMELL BUT THEY WILL EAT THEM AND IT COULD KILL THEM
Firstly don't be afraid of the mouse itself, they are not a hazard at all, it's the bacteria they spread around that make them undesirable. Get two or more good old fashioned mousetraps. Bait them with the lean of bacon, and set them in areas where there is food for them. You probably don't have just one, they tend to come in packages.
If this is a reall BIG mouse, remember that it must be getting plenty of food nearby.
If you see it again remember, you likely just scared the hoochies out of it as well.
Time for a cat.
mouse trap or a cat will take care of your friend
Go get a tom cat he will take care of that RAT
