Question:The fridge in my garage is not cooling as well as it should. I have vacumned out the coils, front and back. The compressor checks good. I realize that this is a self contained system, but what else should I check? Where is the freon charging port typically located on a fridge?

The refrigerant 134a is the same chemical compound for both systems. Your garage may be too hot, and the fridge cannot remove the heat fast enough to recover the heat gain of the garage. If it worked last year, check the circulating fan. You may have lost the charge, but most systems do not have a charging valve, you will have to call in a repair company.
